This artwork is an exploration of the profession on 'picking.' I learned that tea-pickers and rag-pickers are paid poorly for their labor-intensive work while tea industries and garbage industries earn in millions. I made outfits out of the 'commercial' and 'industrial' aspects of the profession, which essentially separates the consumer (in this case me) from the producer (the pickers). These commercial aspects: the tea bags and gloves are symbolic of the middlemen who receive the money that ideally should be going to the pillars of these industries: the laborers.
