String, Burlap
A contemporary, site-specific architectural landscape installation weave created in the three-dimensional loom of the prayer room in my home. The formless warp that this fabric was made from is installed in the prayer room to elucidate the idea of how a formless entity such as the spirit can be contained within the form of a body; similarly, this fabric form has within it a formless essence. The installation urges the viewers to interact with in and configure their bodies as dictated by the installation as they navigate their way through the room.
